Abstract

Dynamics of a three-level quantum system inΛ-configuration driven by a resonant laser field with andwithout frequency modulation (FM) is studied for the first time indetail using two simulation techniques – the density matrix andquantum trajectories analysis. This analysis was applied to theFM-spectroscopy of coherent dark resonances in Cs atoms andcomputer simulation results for the absorption spectra are inqualitative agreement with those taken in an experiment.
