Abstract
A menu tablet comprised of a 16×16 array of Hall-effect switches is described. Activation of any desired cell is simply accomplished by the proximity of a small permanent magnet. A suitable 8-bit parallel output port is included, along with a data-ready strobe line. The device is potentially useful as a peripheral for desktop and minicomputer installations.
