Abstract
A computer information system approach is presented to serve as a support for a hybrid production system in a manufacturing company. Also a process mapping showing the interchange of information between the areas of the value chain will be developed. This approach aims to show a different way to select or develop an information system which effectively supports the shop floor activities with those in the value chain.
