Abstract

A program has been developed for the LINC8 (Digital Equipment Corporation) computer for sorting neuronal activity recorded grossly from nerve bundles into the component activity of the individual nerve fibers. Activity was recorded at two points along the nerve bundle, a technique which provided conduction velocity information for the individual nerve fibers. The most successful spike separations were possible when the shape of spikes recorded at the most distal recording site were employed, along with conduction velocity information.
