Abstract

It also describes the functions CBE technology can perform indeiiveringandsupporting the learningprocess. It goes on to describe several major challenges which education faces and suggests some ways in which CBE may be able to meet and resolve these challenges. Three barriers to the widespread use of CBE are presented, and specific responsibilities are laid out for education, government, and business in their interdependent roles in support of high-quality education. The article closes by noting that the use of CBE technology in education is not a question of whether it should be used but rather how soon it is destined to become the traditional education of tomorrow.
