Abstract

MATLAB is a power tool in mathematical filed, and has been widely applied in education engineering. In the present paper, MATLAB is used to describe algorithms for the generation of pseudorandom numbers with both uniform and normal distributions. Different methods of approximation are compared by their characteristic in orthogonal polynomial approximation, moments of distribution functions, legendre orthogonal polynomial approximation (LPA) method. The results can give some guidance for the further study.
