Abstract

In the present work the Kantorovich method [1], [2] is used to derive an approximate closed-form solution for heat conduction problems in multi-layered solids. The solution procedure is presented in a form suitable for programming. The accuracy of the method is investigated using a numerical example. By means of temperature field equations calculated for the example, the possibilities of simple direct use and visualisation are shown.
