Abstract
Caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP), defined as a pregnancy that implants in the scar from a previous caesarean birth, has a rising incidence and is associated with a significant risk for maternal morbidity and mortality.1–6 Prompt diagnosis, based on a high degree of clinical suspicion, and subsequent treatment is required to reduce such risks.1 Although a variety of medical and surgical interventions have been described for the management of CSP, the optimal treatment is unknown.1,5,6 We describe a novel method of methotrexate administration utilising a multidisciplinary approach with interventional radiology and computed tomography (CT) for the treatment of three CSPs that resulted in favourable maternal outcomes.
