Abstract

The article considers the approximation model of discriminatory (direction finding) characteristics in the airborne weather radar (MNR) based on a multi-channel phased linear antenna array (FAR) in the form of a polynomial. A number of FAR with typical amplitude distributions (AD) and corresponding approximations of direct and inverse direction finding characteristics (DFC, IDFC) are considered. The presented model is proposed for use in specialized software of MNR, in modes that implement a monopulse method for determining the angular coordinates of point targets.
