Abstract

With fast expansion of capacity in electric power systems in recent years, there is a growing need to deliver power to customers at acceptable voltage and frequency limits. Under different contingencies the stability of the system need to be reassessed and controlled. This can better be done in real time. This paper presents a review on real and off-line stability assessment of power system using computational intelligence (CI) techniques.
