Abstract
While both prolonged social isolation stress (SIS) as well as acute footshock stress (FS) will generate an increase in aggression, the degree to which stress-induced aggression is unique to each stressor is unknown. Here, we combine sophisticated behavioral analyses, novel behavioral assays, ultrasonic vocalization recordings, neural circuit perturbations, in vivo imaging and computational analyses to interrogate stress-induced aggression.
