Abstract

In this paper, time dependent solution of M/M(a,b)/1 queueing system with standby server model has been considered. The arrival rate is denoted by λ and it following a Poisson process. During this model there are two sorts of servers namely main server and standby server. The services are going to be given by bulk. The service time following an exponential distribution with parameters µ1 for main server and µ2 for standby server. An infinitesimal generator matrix is created. Transient state solutions and steady state solutions are obtained by Fundamental matrices. Numerical studies have been done.
