Abstract

Additional interest in the effect of the Eulerian inertia forces, which appear in rotating channels, on the combustion processes may arise in the context of energetics problems. For example, the increased gas temperatures in the wake of turbine blades (with the subsequent utilization of the gas heat content) can be obtained by arranging the combustion directly in the inter-blade channel. In this case, in addition to the solution of material science problems, relating to the heat resistance of the turbine blades, for practical applications it is necessary that a prediction theory be formulated, which would describe the steady and unsteady behavior of diffusion flames in rotating channels.
