Abstract
Fast convergence expansion of the parabolic cylinder functions U( a, x), V( a, x), W( a, ± x) is obtained in terms of the Tricomi functions E v ( z). The numerical results are quite accurate for a large interval of values of “ a” and for | x| ⪅ 7. Tables are given for U and V in order to compare our results with other recent works on the same functions.
