Abstract

Monthly average of hourly and daily solar radiation incident upon a tilted, south-facing surface has been computed from the available solar radiation data for twenty-five years (1958–1983) for Karachi. The hourly and daily values of solar radiation on tilted surface are then compared. The difference between the results obtained is noted to be very small. Annual and monthly averages of solar radiation are also evaluated from hourly values besides averages for the heating and cooling seasons.
