Abstract
AbstractA method for simulation of viscous flows in complex geometries by resolving the Navier‐Stokes equations with the use of velocity correction procedure is developed. Its virtue lies in the simple description of the flows in terms of primitive variables, such as velocities and pressure, and in its algorithmic simplicity. Decoupling the pressure and velocity reduces the problem to the solution of a sequence of simpler problems. With this method some auxiliary velocity field is found and the projection into the divergence‐free space via the solution of a Poisson equation for some form of the pressure is performed.
