Abstract
The differential cross sections for Compton scattering of 279 keV gamma photons by L-shell electrons of lead are measured by the coincidence technique. The angular dependence of the cross section dσ L is compared with the Klein-Nishina cross section dσ F for an electron initially free and stationary.
