Abstract

This contribution presents several LTE model atmospheres of hot white dwarfs, which include noncoherent Compton scattering opacity. Pure H and mixed H/He models with T e = 200 000 K and 150 000 K, and various surface gravities are discussed here. It is found, that Comptonisation of photons from the hard part of thermal spectrum causes temperature increase in the highest layers of stellar atmosphere in low gravity models, in which gradient of radiation pressure approaches gravity g.
