Abstract
The paper presents the correlation between flexural strength and modulus of elasticity with respect to the compressive strength of ternary concrete (TC), made by incorporating the Micro silica (5% to 15%) and Ground granulated blast furnace slag (20% to 50%) considering w/b=0.55. A total of twelve ternary mixes and one conventional mix were prepared to identify optimum mix. Flow characteristics and strength properties (compression, modulus of rupture and modulus of elasticity) are determined for both conventional and Ternary mixes at 28 days. Empirical relationships are drawn between Elastic modulus, modulus of rupture and compressive strength for the optimum ternary mix.
