Abstract
AbstractMagnetic anisotropy induced by plastic deformation in Fe3Al is calculated for various types of dislocations in the DO3 and B2 superlattices on the basis of the slip‐induced directional order. It is found that the induced magnetic anisotropy depends largely upon the dislocation density, its configuration, and state of order; also, it is found that the direction of easy magnetization in the DO3 long ‐ range ‐ordered superlattice is that of hard magnetization in the B2 long‐range‐ordered superlattice for the same slip systems. Further, it is shown that the magnitude of the induced magnetic anisotropy is about 105 to 105 erg/cm3 for usual deformation when the individual dislocation distributes independently.
