Abstract

Abstract Compressing gaseous carbon dioxide (CO2) with a reciprocating compressor creates a potential for operational problems and inefficient performance. Ingersoll- Rand's (I–R) experience with compressing CO2, both in the field and in a closed test loop, has resulted in a number of recommendations for CO2 reciprocating compressor applications.
