Abstract

We study the compressed sensing (CS) for a frequency agile (FA) radar, and develop a sufficient condition, under which CS has a performance guarantee. Particularly, a target scene of sparsity K, scales with √N/ log MN, can be robustly recovered by an FA radar using CS, where N is the number of transmitted pulses and M is the number of frequency points used by radar. The effectiveness of compressed sensing for an FA radar is verified with both simulations and field experiments.
