Abstract
A comprehensive study of CAD models of several coplanar waveguide (CPW) discontinuities is presented. The following discontinuities are studied: CPW short-end, CPW open-end, symmetric CPW series gap, and symmetric short-end coupled CPW. Simple models, that are suitable for CAD purposes, are proposed and validated by comparison to published full-wave results.
