Abstract

The comprehensive geriatric assessment has a significant evidence base in both hospital medicine and community-based medical care although there appears to be limited evidence of the use of this framework in elderly psychiatric patients. The authors discuss its application in multidisciplinary team meetings for older adult psychiatric inpatients, aiming to improve understanding of a broad range of patient needs and improve communication between team members.
