Abstract

In view of the current analysis of road damage caused by heavy-duty vehicles, only the damage caused by heavy-duty vehicles to traffic infrastructure is considered, but the transportation efficiency of heavy-duty vehicles is not considered. Therefore, a new indicator parameter is defined to limit the comprehensive benefit factor K to characterize the overall benefits caused by the load limit under different vehicle weight distributions. Based on the measured data of three actual vehicle weight distributions, the effectiveness of the load limiting comprehensive benefit factor was verified, and the influence of distribution of different types of vehicles on the factor was discussed. The conclusions obtained can provide reference for the over-limitation of governance and the development of load limiting standards.
