Abstract

Under the current policy of energy conservation and emission reduction in China, circulating fluidized bed (CFB) production technology, as one of the most feasible clean combustion technologies for coal, has a very broad development prospect due to its good fuel adaptability and low pollutant discharge. However, whether the overall benefit of CFB is better than that of conventional boilers needs further study. In this article, the life cycle assessment (LCA) is used to establish the complete life cycle list of CFB, and the comprehensive benefit analysis is carried out, including resource consumption, energy consumption, environmental emission, and national economic benefit. Through the comprehensive benefit analysis of CFB production technology based on life cycle theory, the application effect of CFB (0.42) is better than that of conventional boiler (0.27). It can be concluded that CFB production and combustion technology can achieve good energy saving, environmental protection and economic benefits, and can bring corresponding contribution to the development of national economy.
