Abstract

We show that the generalized form of the average multidifferential macroscopic cross sections for deep inelastic (DI) collisions, obtained with a transport theory on the basis of semi-classical approximations, can describe continuously, in a natural way, the DI reactions and the fast fission phenomena. We analyse the statistical aspect of these dissipative processes and describe some quantal diffractive effects. We define the multidifferential cross setions d 4 Ļƒ/d Īø d E d Ī”l d A and draw the two-dimensional contour diagrams for the integrated cross sections d 2 Ļƒ/d Īø d E, d 2 Ļƒ/d Īø d A, d 2 Ļƒ/d E d A, d 2 Ļƒ/d Ī”l d A, d 2 Ļƒ/d Īø d Ī”l. The mass and the angular distributions d Ļƒ/d A, d Ļƒ/d Īø are also defined. The calculations are performed for the systems Ar on Ho and Mg on Ta at several identical c.m. energies.
