Abstract
The Bruggeman effective medium approximation (BEMA) theory is applied to analyzespectroscopic ellipsometeric data recorded for the pulsed laser deposited semitransparent Cu thin film. It reveals the plasmonic nature of the film along with identifying the composition of oxide phasespresent in the film.
