Abstract

A compositionally invariant glass transition temperature ( T g ) and Urbach-tail slope (σ) in Ge 20Sb 15− x Bi x S 65 glasses were found. This is in agreement with physically based correlations between T g and mean coordination number and between T g and σ. Using reasonable assumptions, good agreement between experimental and calculated T g and σ values has been found.
