Abstract

A new surface acoustic wave filter for a sound multiplexing broadcasting system has been developed. It has two channels of a sound and a picture filter, which is fabricated in 128° Y cut LiNbO3. The self and adjacent sound traps in the picture filter are much deeped than the previous one by improved diffraction compensation techniques for anisotropic substrate. The twin peaks in the sound filter has broad enough, and suppresses the band between the sound and picture carriers sufficiently.
