Abstract
La composición societaria y económica de las empresas activas longevas (mayores a 25 años) dentro de la zona 3 del ordenamiento territorial del Ecuador al año 2022 es diversa y compleja. Para analizar esta dinámica se aplica un estudio descriptivo de tipo transversal con base inductiva y cuantitativa, a través de la recopilación documental en bases de datos de carácter oficial. Una vez analizadas 170 organizaciones, la investigación arroja que ninguna de ellas logra superar el siglo de existencia y que el tamaño más representativo corresponde a microempresas, lo que da cuenta del bajo nivel de crecimiento no solo de sus ingresos totales sino también de su estructura organizacional
