Abstract

Adherence is the subject of numerous studies and publications in medical and paramedical literature, especially for psychotic patients. This article investigates the reasons of such an interest and establishes the necessity to consider patient's point of view on his treatment. Adherence is a more effective tool for dialogue and cohesion of patient care than for unilateral evaluation of patient behaviour. With the growing role of therapeutic education and psychosocial care of psychiatric patients, this methodology tends to be increasingly used despite a tense sociopolitical context.
