Abstract

Acute fatty liver (AFL) of pregnancy is a difficult and challenging diagnosis. The treatment plan is usually supportive. We present a case of a patient with AFL of pregnancy and Gram-negative endomyometritis and sepsis. Our treatment plan included the use of activated protein C (APC). This is the first case report of the use of APC in a post-partum patient with AFL and sepsis.
