Abstract

Purpose: The interpretation of ultrasound detectable liver changes is very difficult. The diagnosis can be made after examination of a liver specimen which could be taken by ultrasound guidance. There are some known complications associated with ultrasound-guided biopsies. The most common complication after sampling is bleeding which could lead to death. The aim of the study is to prove the correlation of observable ascites and changes in coagulation parameters.
