Abstract

Nurses have been suggested to be a potential source of increasing registered organ/tissue donors. The present investigation queried university female and male nursing students’ (n=355) compliance-gaining strategies to influence patients, female and male, to become registered donors. Results — compliance-gaining strategies — were significantly dominated by the sex of the patient, with the sex of the nursing student having little, to no effect on compliance-gaining strategy. Suggestions for future research are offered.
