Abstract
ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Keeping up with all of the external and internal compliance deadlines throughout the year can certainly be challenging, and an annual compliance calendar can prove invaluable. A panel of compliance professionals shared their strategies for developing and implementing compliance calendars when they spoke at the annual convention for the National Association for Athletics Compliance. The panelists included Wispeny Ellis, M.S., Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Student‐Athlete Services at Palm Beach Atlantic University; William Winter, M.S., J.D., Assistant Director for Compliance Services at Stanford University; and Mark Staunton, Assistant AD for Compliance at the University of Richmond. Ryan Qualls, Assistant AD for Compliance at Columbia University, was the moderator. The following excerpt of their discussion was edited for space and clarity.
