Abstract

The mental disorders of teenagers are a major public health concern, as well by their immediate morbid potential as by the risk of future pathological organization. They justify the development of a rigorous clinical research integrating without exclusive various approaches as well epidemiologic as sociological, genetic, biological or psychodynamic approach. This research is complex, in particular because of the difficulties of accounting for the specific evolutionary aspect at this age, which makes sometimes null and void the symptomatic approach retained by international classifications. The use of those classifications is however necessary for the diffusion and the confrontation of researchs. We synthetically present the multicentric research of the Network Dependence on addictives behaviors, highlighting certain common psychopathological dimensions (alexithymia, depression, interpersonal dependence, sensation seeking…), and especially their combination which can return account of a model of addiction centered around the depression. The methodology of this research underlines the interest of a intégrative approach, the relevance with the adolescence of the dimensional access, and the need that there is to develop and validate instruments of evaluation taking into account psychodynamic parameters.
