Abstract

The present text reports a theoretical investigation that it waived with the possibility of conjugate it, intentionally, in the teaching-learning process, the mathematical modeling and the epistemological conception concerning the complexity. The complexity conception that orientated this work based on the body of the philosopher’s ideas, historian, anthropologist and French sociologist Edgar Morin. For it time, as for the modeling, the mathematical modeling and to the mathematical modeling in the teaching-learning process, it were taken into the Brazilian authors’ account several ideas Rodney Carlos Bassanezi, Maria Salett Biembengut and Nelson Hein. In the text, initially, some relative aspects were approached to the historical origin, in Brazil, of the use of the resource of the modeling in the teaching-learning process, identifying the origins of the application of such a pedagogic resource with the protected ideas for Anisio Teixeira and Paulo Freire. Soon afterwards, the themes culture, complexity and education were approached. After that, it discoursed concerning Edgar Morin and of his complexity conception. Last, they came more some concepts on modeling and arguments on behalf of it adaptation (it sifts of this research) to the beginnings of the theory of the morinian complexity.
