Abstract

AbstractThe “Complexe Sportive de Meudon” is a multisport venue in Trivaux – Paris, France, with a rectangular footprint of about 110 meters long by 70 meters wide. It includes an ice rink with 700No. seating places, a fitness centre, squash and padel courts, a climbing wall, and a full size 11‐aside football field, along with public and private parking space. The building's roof is entirely occupied by the football field, which is netted all around with a stainless‐steel cable mesh supported on discrete vertical steel elements, resembling “tuning forks”. A substantial part of the roof structure is supported off 12No. 45m long, varying depth plate girders, weighing 30tonnes each. This communication is focused on this part of the building's structure.
