Abstract

Kinetics of complexation between magnesium acetylacetonate and tetraazaporphine in benzene–pyridine (2-methylpyridine) system is studied. The rate and activation parameters of the process were found to be determined by the addition of these bases. A possible mechanism of the Mg complex formation is discussed. No magnesium complex with tetraazaporphine was formed in benzene–morpholine (benzylamine, n-butyl-amine, diethylamine, triethylamine, tributylamine) system.
