Abstract
Los complejos cambios de nuestras sociedades han generado exigencias y demandas a las universidades públicas de todos los continentes, sobre todo en el papel extramuros que estas juegan, siendo vistas desde las últimas décadas como territorios en disputa. Estas disputas y tensiones exigen repensar y recrear las dimensiones (docencia, investigación y extensión universitaria) que fundan el quehacer universitario, entendida esta última desde la Educación Superior como uno de sus procesos sustantivos.
