Abstract

Abstract The coordination in aqueous solution of 4-chloro-1,2-phenylenediamine-N',N',N',N'-tetraacetic acid (4-Cl-o-PDTA) with Be(II) and with the transition metal cations cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) was reported in earlier publications.1,2 In this note a study is presented of the coordination in aqueous solution (25°C, 1 = 0.1 M in KC1) of 4-CI-o-PDTA acid with magnesium(II), calcium(II), strontium(II), barium(II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II).
