Abstract

A complex source beam (CSB) method, which was previously proposed to solve the electric field integral equation, is extended to solve the Poggio-Miller-Chan-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (PMCHWT) integral equation for the analysis of homogeneous dielectric objects. The PMCHWT equation is accelerated by approximating interactions between basis functions in separated groups with CSBs. The translation invariance of the dyadic Green's functions is exploited to further enhance the computational efficiency of the CSB method. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed approach are demonstrated by numerical examples.
