Abstract

Open ended coaxial cavity resonators for measuring the complex permittivity of liquids are presented. Measurements are based on the cavity perturbation technique. The first resonator operates in the frequency range 0.6-7 GHz, while a second resonator operates in the frequency range 5-14 GHz. The complex permittivity of water is measured. Results are compared with those obtained using other methods.
