Abstract

Mixed-ligand complex formation in the HgCl–L systems (L= GlyGly, AlaAla) has been studied by pH potentiometry, calorimetry, and 1Н and 13С NMR spectroscopy in aqueous solutions at 298.15 K and ionic strengths I of 0.5 (KNO3). The thermodynamic parameters of formation of Hg n Cl p L q H–r (n = 1; p = 0, 1, 2; q = 1, 2; r = 0, 1, 2) complexes have been determined. The most probable coordination modes of the dipeptide molecules in the mixed-ligand complexes were discussed.
