Abstract

Association constants K 11 and K 12 for the formation of CdBr + and CdBr 2 in molten KNO 3−Ba(NO 3) 2 (87.6: 12.4 mol%), dilute in Cd 2+ and Br −, in the temperature range 568.2–628.2 K are reported by the potentiometric method using Ag/AgBr(s) and Pd−PdO−CdO as indicator electrodes. Applicability of the quasi-lattice model equations in predicting temperature coefficient of the association constants has been examined.
