Abstract
Mixed-ligand complex formation equilibria of Pd(Me 2en)–CBDCA–DNA constituent have been investigated (Me 2en= N, N′-dimethylethylenediamine, CBDCA=cyclobutane dicarboxylic acid). The results show ring opening of CBDCA and monodentate complexation of the DNA constituent. Stoichiometries and stability constants of the complexes were determined at 25 °C and at constant 0.1 M ionic strength. The kinetics of base hydrolysis of glycine methyl ester in presence of Pd(Me 2en) 2+ complex was studied in aqueous solution at different temperatures, and in dioxane–water solutions of different compositions at 25 °C.
