Abstract
The complex formation between organotin chloride and bis(1-pyrazolyl)methane, H 2CPz 2 has been investigated. Complexes of formula R 2SnCl 2·H 2CPz 2 or RSnCl 3·H 2CPz 2 have been isolated and characterised by elemental analysis, i.r. and 1H-NMR spectra. On the basis of their spectral properties, the complexes have been assigned an octahedral structure with the chlorides in the cis-position.
