Abstract

Complexation of some heavy metal cations in aqueous solution by diaza crown ethers and cryptands has been studied using pH-metric titrations. In most cases, macrobicyclic cryptands form more stable complexes than diaza crown ethers. The size of the cavity aiso influences the stability of the complexes formed.
