Abstract
Introduction: The IV preparation of Levetiracetam (LEV) has become available since 2006. Oral LEV has been partially effective in patients with non-convulsive status epilepticus. Subsequently, there is hope for a wider range of possibilities to apply the IV preparation to status epilepticus. Until now, only few case reports predominantly on adults are on record. We report about the efficiency of IV LEV in 6 children with complex focal status epilepticus.
